$11 MILLION SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATE BONDS @ ZERO PERCENT INTEREST

This federal bond program (Qualified School Construction Bond) is available for school construction and repairs and offers school systems the opportunity to borrow millions of dollars at zero percent (0%) interest.  Originated by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for school infrastructure, stipulates the following:

1)      100 percent of the available project proceeds of such issue are to be used for construction, rehabilitation, or repair of a public school facility or the acquisition of land on which such a facilities is to be constructed with part of the proceeds of such issue.

2)      The bond is issued by a State or local government within the jurisdiction of which such school is located; and

3)      The issuer designates such bond for purposes of this section.

The bonds are provided to states and individually to the largest 100 public school systems directly.  Please click on the following link to review the various allocations.
